Manuscript Preparation
Type manuscript according to basic guidelines. Check for accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar. From $0.01/word. Level II Copyediting additional $0.0075/word. Free long-term CD storage. CD sent upon request. Hard copy sent upon request for an additional fee of $0.25/page plus shipping.

 

Level I Copyediting
Check copy for accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar. From $0.01/word. Minimum $10. Free long-term CD storage. CD sent upon request. Hard copy sent upon request (see details above).

 

Level II Copyediting
Check copy for accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar. Also, check for sense and clarity, choice of words, sentence structure and redundancies. From $0.0175/word. Minimum $15.00. Free long-term CD storage. CD sent upon request. Hard copy sent upon request (see details above).

 

Rewriting
Check copy for accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar. Check for sense and clarity, choice of words, sentence structure and redundancies. Extensive reworking/rewriting of text organization, transition, readability and style. From $0.02/word. Minimum $25.00. Free long-term CD storage. CD sent upon request. Hard copy sent upon request (see details above). (It is the author's responsibility to ensure the accuracy of facts stated and to secure permission when quoting copywritten material.)


Guidelines and Procedures

  • E-mail file to stephanienickel@yahoo.com or mail CD or hard copy to Stephanie Nickel, 1 Rosebery Place, St. Thomas, ON N5R2H6. (If you prefer, you may send a sample of the work for review.) You will receive a contract via e-mail outlining the deadlines, costs and other details. If terms are acceptable, sign contract and return by e-mail, fax or mail.



  • Payment to be made via PayPal. For projects totaling $100.00 or less, one half is due with signed contract, the balance upon satisfactory completion of project. For projects totaling more than $100.00, one-third is due with contract, one-third at the mid-way point, the balance on satisfactory completion of project.


  • You may return completed project one time within seven days of receipt for revisions at no extra charge.


  • Project will be returned to you by e-mail and/or CD. An extra $0.25/page plus postage will be charged for hard copy.


  • Page counts are based on 8.5x11 double-spaced page with one inch margins and a 12 pt standard font. Page or word count will be based on final manuscript.
